Who Am I?
I am a Chicago-based oil painter making work that explores themes around nature, beauty, environment and the human body. I enjoy dabbling with mixed media and textiles to create paintings that comment on everyday observations and experiences. My practice is rooted in playfulness, wit, and appropriation using found objects. My work reflects a passion for the lived human experience. I have exhibited at Palazzo Bembo, Venice Italy, in connection with the 60th Venice Biennale; The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago; Silos Gallery 200, Houston, TX; the Martin Gallery, Chicago, IL; the Sidney Larson Gallery, Columbia, MO; and in Saatchi Art Virtual exhibition. I graduated with a BA in International Business and minor in Visual Arts from Eckerd College. I attended a Painting and Drawing program at the Leo Marchutz School of Fine Art in France.
