This is an original oil painting on canvas inspired by a photo taken by a friend while they were on a shoot in Jackson Mississippi.

When I saw it posted on my friend's Instagram stories, I was drawn in by the deep perspective, the turquoise and blue benches, the neon lights and the glossy reflections. I also noticed that the place was completely empty, which I interpreted as indicative of the time period; taking into account the presence of COVID19 and it's affect on the nation's food industry.
