I was inspired to make this painting during a cross country road trip from Chicago to Seattle. Ivar's is a Seattle staple and I'm drawn to large neon signs like the one they have at the water front location near downtown. This picture is nostalgic for me because I spent 8 years living in Seattle and I walked along the waterfront often. I chose to paint this for the sake of making something beautiful and to continue my exploration of mixed media.
