I was inspired to paint Something Beautiful for the sake of painting something beautiful. I saw this scene while walking through the Irving Park neighborhood in Chicago a few summers ago. It was during the height of the pandemic when I ran into this fruit stand set up in the back of someone's pickup truck and I knew I wanted to paint it. I hope the colors uplift the viewer and give the same sense of excitement that I felt when I saw this laid out randomly, years ago. Limited edition prints available for purchase.
