Café Tola

I was inspired to create this painting after walking into the café on a cold winter day. Hungry as I was, I noticed a bright neon sign in on the back wall that said "Best Empanadas." Naturally, I ordered some empanadas and took a quick snap of the café while I waited. I loved how the chaotic decorations and cultural touches on the walls and shelves added character to the restaurant's interior. The experience is what drove me to make this painting and my hope is that this work will lift the viewer's spirit. Additionally, the empanadas were the best I've ever had.
